Precautions: |
 | Refrain
from eating, smoking, and drinking (especially alcoholic beverages) before a measurement. |
 | The
monitor is designed to work over clothing, but be sure to remove heavier layers
such as sweaters or jackets. |
 | Before
taking a measurement, be sure to relax. It's best to remain still for 5 to 10
minutes before the measurement. |
 | It
is recommended that you not look at the monitor readout as you are taking the
measurement, as it may affect the results of the monitoring. |
 | The
Automatic Digital Blood Pressure Monitor with Arterial Hardness Value Measurement
is intended to report measurement results only, and not to diagnose a disease
nor recommend treatment. Always contact your physician after the device indicates
abnormal arterial hardness, blood pressure or heart rate. |

 | Sit
on a chair with back support, keeping both feet on the ground. |  |
 | Slide
the arm cuff band over your arm so that the bottom edge is about 1 inch above
the elbow on the inside of the left arm, with the hose extending downward. The
red mark on the cuff should be covering the brachial artery, the artery located
along the top of the bicep. |  | Use
the Velcro fastener to secure the arm cuff snugly around the arm. |
 | Rest
your arm on a table so the cuff is at the same level as your heart. Your heart
is located slightly below your left armpit. Press start and the measurement will
be taken. | |
