Blood Pressure Monitor with Arterial Hardness Value Measurement
Arterial
hardness:
The
color zones indicate the hardness of the arteries as measured during the test.
Green
zone This indicates that the cardiovascular system
is normal. When an artery of normal stiffness is measured, the pulse wave generated
during deflation of the cuff first appears when cuff pressure approaches systolic
blood pressure. The pulse wave then rises and after reaching its highest point,
decreases gradually.
Yellow
zone This indicates the presence of mild to moderate
arterial stiffness, diabetes, obesity, old age or high stress, suggesting a condition
of progressing arterial hardening.
Orange
or Red Zone This indicates the presence of moderate
arterial stiffness. If a reading in the red zone appears, a visit to your doctor
or health professional is strongly recommended.
