Automatic Digital Blood Pressure Monitor with Arterial Hardness Value Measurement

Is it normal for my arterial hardness readings to fluctuate?
Yes, fluctuations can be considered normal. A single measurement is not enough to determine your arterial hardness alone, but rather one of several measurements that will comprise your arterial hardness average. To see this value, simply turn off the device and the arterial hardness average will be shown on the display.
How often should I be taking blood pressure and arterial hardness measurements?
Personal health management is a lifetime endeavor. We suggest that during the first week you measure once a day in order to establish your base blood pressure and arterial hardness average. After that you may cut the frequency to a minimum of once or twice a week.
Why is arterial hardness so important to measure at home?
In cases of coronary heart disease, even when blood vessels are narrowed to as much as 20 percent of their original size, symptoms usually will not become apparent as long as the affected person does not exercise, lift heavy objects, or become overly emotional. However, roughly 60 percent of affected people die from their first heart attack. The rate of death of heart attack victims with no history of symptoms is more than twice as high as that of the general population of heart attack victims.

A partial explanation is that the former group puts off seeking medical help. Hence people who say "I'll wait for the symptoms" are in considerable danger. Therefore, it is critically important that people keep an accurate record at home of their blood pressure readings and arterial hardness average, so they can discuss them with their doctors at their regular examination anytime their "numbers" change drastically. Talk with your doctor about how often you should measure your blood pressure and arterial hardness average and how you should share this information.
Why isn't this device called an arteriosclerosis measuring device?
A determination of arteriosclerosis can only be made by a physician. This device cannot be used to diagnose this condition. This device simply allows us to gain a better understanding of whether our arteries are maintaining their flexibility. It can remind us to maintain a healthy lifestyle and diet.
What should I do to prevent arteriosclerosis?
We suggest you make sure to get proper sleep, don't smoke, try to maintain an optimal weight for your body, avoid over drinking, exercise regularly, eat breakfast, and don't eat between meals.

Additionally, by reducing your blood serum low density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-c) levels, and increasing your high density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-c) levels, you can reduce the risk of developing arteriosclerosis caused by abnormal blood cholesterol. Ask your doctor for advice on modifying your diet to encourage healthy blood cholesterol levels.
