Mr. Yung-Ching Wang,
The founder of Formosa Plastics Corporation
The first chairman of Formosa Biomedical Technology Corporation, asked employees to follow the principle, “Stop until attain perfection, get to the essence of the matter.” in order to develop every industry with a spirit of constant improvement and innovation and aim to benefit society! In 2002, encouraged by the founder Mr. Wang, the corporation started its transition towards biotechnology and biomedical fields. "Formosa Biomedical Technology Co., Ltd." was officially established in 2004. This was the first time that "Formosa Plastics Co." stepped into the biomedical industry after establishing diversified management in petrochemical, plastics, textiles, electronic engineering, and energy industries.

Formosa Chemicals & Fiber Corporation broke ground

1986 ~ 2003

Formerly known as the " Detergent Project Team in Formosa Chemicals & Fiber Corporation.

The Formosa Biomedical Technology Corporation officially began operation.
