egenerative
arthritis (also called osteoarthritis) means
chronic irritation (inflammation) of soft
tissues in the joints. It is the most common
arthritis. Degenerative arthritis is highly
related to breakdown of cartilage in the
joints. Only the elderly would catch this
disease before. Nowadays, not only the elderly
but the young may also catch this disease
if they had joint injury, congenital joint
dislocation, surgery, bone fracture, obesity
or overload physical labor. Sportsmen also
belong to high risk groups. Overload of
joint breakdown would cause symptoms of
degenerative arthritis in advance. Young
people should also be careful about this
disease.
